Santhosh Jacob Happynook is the managing partner of Palms Hospitality Management in Florida, where he oversees the operations of several hotel properties across the Tampa Bay area. With a team of over 250 employees, Happynook brings more than 30 years of expertise in management, operations, teaching, real estate, and consulting, including over 25 years specifically in the hospitality Industry in Tampa Bay area.
Since moving to the United States 25 years ago, Happynook has played a pivotal role in the acquisition, sale, and operation of hotel properties. He has extensive experience working with major hospitality brands including Marriott, Starwood, InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG), Choice Hotels, Wyndham, and Best Western International.
In addition to hospitality operations, Happynook is a managing partner at Pro Star Multi Services, a company providing renovation and maintenance services to hotels, residential properties, office buildings, and warehouses across Florida. He also leads Palms Vacation Rentals, offering approved short-term vacation rental properties listed on AIRBNB and VRBO.
Happynook has an academic background in hospitality education, having served as the Professor for the International Hospitality & Tourism Management program at Schiller International University from 2006 to 2015.
He holds an MBA in International Business (2001), a PhD in Agricultural Chemistry (1999), and a Master of Science in Sciences (1995). His industry credentials include multiple General Manager certifications from all major leading hotel chains as well as the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation. Happynook is also a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate in the state of Florida since 2005.
Happynook speaks English, Russian, Spanish, and Malayalam, and is known for his commitment to excellence, leadership in hospitality management, and dedication to enhancing the guest experience through professional service and strategic oversight.
